Cobra

Design Greta M. Grossman
Gubi , Denmark

The distinctive Cobra lighting collection is one of the most iconic designs by Greta M. Grossman. The table lamp was originally designed in the 1950’s and takes its name from the shape of the oval shade, which is reminiscent of a cobra’s neck. Due to its groundbreaking design, the Cobra Table Lamp won the Good Design Award in the same decade and was subsequently exhibited at the Good Design Show at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.

Cobra creates a wide range of lighting options for both the workplace and living environments. The table and floor lamp is a classic and yet unique lighting solution, with its tubular flexible arm that can be rotated through 360_creating a pleasant reading light or an artistic light when directed towards the wall. The wall lamp creates a soft light that spreads up the wall, making it the perfect illumination for entrances and hallways.
